MEET OUR STAFF
For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many
David became the Pastor at Waco Baptist Church in March of 2020 after serving on staff at churches in West Virginia and Kentucky. In preparation for ministry, David attended Liberty University where he earned a B.S. in Religion. He also earned a Master of Divinity from Liberty University School of Divinity. David has served in the Army for eleven years, and he currently serves in the Chaplain Corp of the Kentucky Army National Guard.
He has been married to his wife Kelsey since 2011. David has three children Adalyn (2014), Elias (2016), and Isabella (2019). He enjoys spending time with his family, watching football, and vacations at Walt Disney World. David desires to lead Waco Baptist Church to share the gospel and make disciples, starting in their neighborhoods and reaching the nations.
Justin became the Family Pastor at Waco Baptist Church in May of 2021. He has served students and their families in Kentucky and Tennessee in the church and in the school system. Having grown up in Madison County, Justin is excited to have the opportunity to minister to families in the place he calls home. He believes the goal of student ministry is to help students mature into Christlike adults who are sent out into the world on mission. Also, he has a strong desire to equip parents to disciple their children. In order to achieve these goals, Justin has obtained degrees from Midwestern Baptist
Theological Seminary and Liberty University.
Justin has been married to his wife Ashley since 2006. They have four children; Sarah, Brian, Naomi, and Judah. Two of their children were adopted from foster care. The Padgetts have a passion for orphan care and hope to equip the church to serve the most vulnerable among us. In his spare time, Justin enjoys hunting, fishing, and UK basketball.
Barron grew up in the Waco Baptist Church. He has been married to his wife Rebecca since 1997. They have two children Chance and Sydney. Barron began leading worship at Waco Baptist in 1996. He also began teaching music in the Madison County Schools at that time. Barron holds two degrees from Eastern Kentucky University, a dual Bachelor's Degree in Vocal and Instrumental Music Education and a Master's Degree in School Counseling.
