Justin Padgett
Senior Pastor
Justin became the Family Pastor at Waco Baptist Church in May of 2021 and was called to be the Senior Pastor in 2025. He has served students and their families in Kentucky and Tennessee in the church and in the school system. Having grown up in Madison County, Justin is excited to have the opportunity to minister to families in the place he calls home. He believes the goal of student ministry is to help students mature into Christlike adults who are sent out into the world on mission. Also, he has a strong desire to equip parents to disciple their children. In order to achieve these goals, Justin has obtained degrees from Midwestern Baptist
Theological Seminary and Liberty University.
Justin has been married to his wife Ashley since 2006. They have four children; Sarah, Brian, Naomi, and Judah. Two of their children were adopted from foster care. The Padgetts have a passion for orphan care and hope to equip the church to serve the most vulnerable among us. In his spare time, Justin enjoys hunting, fishing, and UK basketball.
Chase Burdette
Family Life Pastor
Chase has been serving in ministry since 2015 and has a passion for seeing students find purpose and identity in Christ. He and his wife Kirsten have been married since 2021. Chase is devoted to advancing the Gospel and multiplying disciples by empowering families and students to become disciple-makers who are equipped to share the Gospel.

Originally a native of Mount Vernon, KY, Chase studied at the Ministry Training Institute at Samford University as well as an undergraduate program of New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He was ordained into the Gospel ministry after taking his first youth pastorate in Alabama in 2015. Since relocating back to Kentucky in 2018, he has served in an associate pastor role in Madison County and as an Area Representative with Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA).

Barron C. Jones
Worship Pastor
Barron began serving and leading worship at Waco Baptist in 1996. Barron also began his teaching career in August of 1996 and has taught in Madison County his entire career. He was born and raised in the Waco Baptist Church. Barron loves serving and ministering to the families of the church. He has lived in Richmond, KY all of his life. He has been married to his wife Rebecca since 1997. They have two children Chance and Sydney. Chance is married to Emmalee. They have three girls Ivy Grace, Marlee Ruth, and Mabel Ann. Sydney is married to Jeff Lynch. They have one daughter named Azalea Lynn.
Barron holds several degrees from Eastern Kentucky University. He has a dual Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education in both instrumental and vocal music and a Master’s in Education Degree in School Counseling. He also holds a ministry certificate from Clear Creek Baptist Bible College.
Barron enjoys spending time with Rebecca, his children, and his beautiful granddaughters. He enjoys woodworking, hunting, and being outdoors. Barron also enjoys volunteering, helping, and serving others which led to him proudly becoming a Kentucky Colonel.
Lisa Miles
Church Administrator
Originally from Artemus, KY, Lisa has been a Christian for 49 years. She was raised in church coming from a long line of preachers, pastors, deacons and Godly women who shaped her faith and her love of The Word. She joined Waco Baptist Church in June 2023 to serve alongside her daughter and son-in-law, Sadie and Ryan Reeves. Lisa is also the proud Gigi of Beau Jackson Reeves. Lisa received a BA in Music Business Administration along with a Minor in Music from Belmont University in Nashville, TN.She received her Graduate degree in Middle School Education with emphasis in Math and Science and postgraduate degree in Educational Curriculum Design and Development from Union College in Barbourville, KY.
